I ran over a nail recently and had to have my front tires replaced for my 2020 dodge journey. My husband had douglas tires put on instead of the nexen tires on there. Is this going to cause performance problems later ?
I just had to replace the front tires on my 2020 dodge journey due to running over a nail, and my husband had 2 different tires put on cuz they were cheaper. They are the all season douglas tires. Is that going to cause a performance problem for my car ?

I have the best tires for my Journey Crew. They loose air constantly in winter(Wisconsin) and also in the summer. What is a better alternative? Thank you. Celia
Celia, we had the same situation as we live in the mountains of NC. The best solution is having a dealer/tire place you use put Nitrogen in the tires. The up front cost is well worth getting rid of the headaches. The tires will usually maintain the same pressure, might get a little difference (depending on how cold, etc.) but after they heat up they will all be close in pressure. If one tire keeps showing low pressure then that is a sure sign of a problem. Can’t “mix” air & Nitrogen, tire place will tell you that, and should put Green valve stem caps on as a alert to others.
I am new to the Dodge Journey, but I bought a used 2017 from a rental car business and it already needs tires. Some of the terms confuse me, so I am going to describe my driving habits and ask for a recommendation.
My commute has me doing 26 miles of freeways daily, my work can sometimes require 50- 126 miles of freeways. I also train in search and rescue and ski patrol.
