The Arizonian Silver Edition all-season tire uses the latest in tire technology to it dependable performance, at a family budget friendly cost.
The asymmetric non-directional tread pattern features an optimized contact patch which improves overall traction and gives the tire better longevity. It’s one reason why they provide a 65,000 mile tread warranty on the tire.
Handling and cornering is adequate on the Silver Edition due to the serpentine block design. It gives the tire more even pressure when turning for increased stability and steering response.
Wet surface traction is aided by the four larger circumferential grooves and zig-zag sipes that lower the risk of hydroplaning and give the tire better grip on wet or snow covered roads.
Another thing you will notice on this tire is how quiet it rides. A computer optimized tread pitch sequence is utilized to reduce road noise and give you a much smoother overall ride quality. A unique swoosh groove in the center rib further reduces road noise.
Inside the tread are twin steel belts and a nylon cap ply to increase strength and stability at higher speeds. You will find this tire available in T, H and V speed ratings.

The Silver Edition tire is an ideal option for the budget minded driver who is looking to get the most value for their money in an all-season tire. You can expect to find very good year-round traction and handling with more than adequate performance to satisfy the needs of most drivers.
The ride is comfortable on this model, and there is little in the way of road noise to have to deal with. Treadlife is an area that could be a bit better, but even that is not all that bad, especially when you factor in the lower price point. Overall, we rank the Silver Edition in the middle of the all-season class.

Arizonian has a 65,000 mile treadlife warranty on the Silver Edition. Tire uniformity is backed for the first 2/32 inch of tread wear. Materials and workmanship are covered for 5 years.

After 2 weeks of these tires on my mothers Toyota Corolla, I totaled her car. I borrowed her car for gas mileage when taking someone out of town for an appointment with a surgeon. We didn’t make the appointment. It was slow moving stop and go traffic and a clean road. The truck in front of us stopped but I did not see the brake lights. I had plenty of room to stop even after realizing that the gap was closing. I hit the brakes and the car just slid. No traction at all. There was not even enough traction to tell the abs that the car was still moving. There was not enough time to assess this aspect of the situation and start pumping the brakes manually. While inspecting the vehicles and trying to figure out exactly what went wrong, I noticed that the tires hard compound for long wear life had left no skid marks visible to the naked eye. A first responder on scene said he could see skid marks with his polarized sunglasses.
So now I have a totaled car with only liability insurance (car not covered), an increase in insurance rate, a failure to maintain control speeding ticket and massive stress that has me on the brink of a total breakdown. Not to mention that people cannot see this stress and add to it daily.
I don’t recommend taking any risks putting these tires on your vehicle.
On a side note, the tires did slide very quietly along the pavement
These tires are dangerous. We bought a used car that had these tires on it, and were told that they had less than 10k on them. This was last November, and remind you we dont go to many places as it is…..the tire in the rear blew out and bad, Blew the side out of it. Their really noisy tires as well. I will not be replacing these tires with this brand.
Just had these mounted two weeks. We don’t drive that much anymore but we had good years on our caravan handled rough tire pressure always issues pulled to right .got these the new shocks I had already installed really show up with these new tires it handles well rides real nice. I have not noticed noise . Enjoying driving our van again
25,000 miles and the tires are worn out, rotated every 5,000 miles these tires are garbage. Do yourself a big favor and spend more, “you get what you pay for.” Got 50,000 miles out of factory Goodyear told the Discount Tire rep I wanted a tire that compared to the Goodyear tires the rep sold me this junk.
Agree on your comment. Bought 1 in 2019 because it was the closest to my other 3 Firestone tires and maybe drove 500 miles and on the way to Lake Charles it blew like I’ve never seen on a light vehicle. Garbage tires!!
I have never had tires that were so sensitive to pressure as these. If one of the front tires is a couple of pounds lower than the other the car will pull heavily to that side. It’s ridiculous. Plus these really slip in the wet and snow. They also feel weird in medium hard cornering. They are cheaper but not worth the risk to own. Will be going back to Yokohamas soon. SorryvI got them.
Fairly good tires I got all 4 at about 85,000 miles with warranty from discount tire have had to get a couple of patches due to working industrial (screws and bolts around the parking lot) never an issue I’m at 131,500 miles now and tread is low. I recommend this tire. They handled really well in rain and very quiet.
Extremely noisy, poor life had a couple of these blow out. Would avoid at all costs. A craigslisted set of OE half dry rotted tires were a better tire than these were.
After 10k miles I find these tires to have excellent handling/braking capability. Too soon to tell about treadwear. But I really appreciate how quietly they run on my Mazda 3 iSport.
Just had the silver editions replaced on my Honda with Siver edition 3. Last set lasted 5 years. Plenty of long long trips with no issues. Had one tire pugged due to a nail, which lasted another couple of years – and Discount replaced for free. The original silver editions I got 38K out of. I live in the desert so tires tend to dry rot before they wear out, so 5 years was good.
The new Silver Editon 3 was a little more expensive then I remember and rated higher at 55000 mikes. After reading mixed reviews, for tread wear I’ll keep an eye on the new set. Wonder if something changed in the manufacturing. My experience is this is a solid tire.
I bought Arizonian tires two years ago and I need to replace them. The good part is the tire warranty was for 50,000 miles. I took it to American tires and I found out that I driven 70, 000 mile with no tire rotation. The tech at the tire place was amazed that it went way pass the warranty mileage. I am hard and fast driver from California. I am impress with the quality and durability of this tire I am going to back to replace the two front tires on my Santa Fe. The two back one can last a little bit longer until I can purchase two more before winter. Are there any coupons for the two tires I need before winter? If you need my for an ad call me LOL.
I’ve had these tires for about 6 months and I bought the warranty and they won’t replace them these tires are garbage I will not buy them again the tread wear was terrible no way will they make it 55k miles I’m not even to 20k on them and I’ve had 2 of the tire leaking air it’s really a shame because I have spent a lot of money at discount tire but the fact I paid for warranty and am not getting a replacement for the 2 tires I will be taking my money to a different tire shop from now on.
Hey Jason, its a shame that they tires weren’t able to deliver even half of what they’re truly worth. The tread-life was something that we also thought is something the tire manufacturer can improve upon. Moving forward, please look into plenty of reviews, compare different tires and even the store that you are seeking to purchase from — this is a serious decision!
I have used these tires for the last 20 years. Excellent service and no problems . Used on ’89 Chevy G-20 van & 2004 Toyota Sienna. Chevy had 246,000 miles, Toyota is at 163,000.
I just bought these tires for my Jeep and the warranty is only 55000 miles.
I have these on a Honda CRV, after 2 years and only 15000 miles these have only 4/16 of the tread left. They are worn evenly and the will be down to the wear bars at 20k. This is a casual use vehicle and I will have to replace them soon. They were on sale at Discount tire and now I know why.
I just returned these tires after being on my car for 3 months. My Subaru dealer told me I needed my tires rotated as the front two were wearing. And this is only after 3,000 miles. No way would they last up to 55.000 miles and I only use this car for pleasure. Being brand new tires you would expect that they got good traction in winter. Think again. I slid around every turn. Replaced them with Michelin tires & you can immediately notice the difference in the ride. My advice is to spend the extra money & forget these tires unless you plan to keep your car in the garage.
The dealer said they were rated for 65,000 miles. I will be lucky to get 35,000 and I am not an aggressive driver.
I bought the tires for second replacements for the first group. I am, would say, 90% satisfiend with this brand and model. Handling with my G is hood, road noise is minimize with my G’s sport (hard suspension). Weather wise, nit much a concern in Cali since it does rain. Yes, sometimes we have drizzles and misty morning.

Lee- I don’t think you can make a flat judgement on “tread wear” without knowing more factors in the equation. What type vehicle it is on ( small-midsize-full size sedan-SUV- minivan ), Ron’s driving habits, the environment being driven in or the road conditions that Ron usually drives on. Everybody’s tread wear will be different based on many factors. Just an FYI !
